How To Treat Plantar Fasciitis
So plantar fasciitis is a condition where you get inflammation in the tendon that runs from the heel down to the balls of your feet and into the toes. So what we want to do is evaluate this to make sure you don’t need more professional help like us to get the relief you need. So one of the things is timing, if you’re waking up in the mornings with pain in the heel, foot or down the arch, you know it’ll take a while to get better. If that’s you want to get in here and get things checked out. The second thing besides timing is palpation. That tenderness like we spoke runs from the heel down into your arches of your feet and the toe. So you want to kind of poke and prod and find any areas that are pretty tender. If you feel that on a daily basis and it persistently gives you some issues, that more than likely plantar fasciitis. Those type of heel spur issues. So what we want to do is get you into our office to get some recommend treatment to give you the results you need. The next thing is stretching, which is a big thing to do if things are really tight. What you don’t want to do is stretch that foot here if you have any pain. Another thing is you can just specifically pull your toe back and see that medial tendon there is inflamed. We have several options here in the office to treat plantar fasciitis between chiropractic adjustments to the foot “gua sha” therapy. That is an instrument for therapy as well as shockwave therapy and even our laser therapy.
