Using Laser for Plantar Fasciitis Releif
So with plantar fasciitis you typically feel pain that goes from the heel down into the arches. It can even go all the way down to the balls of your feet. What we want to do is get that inflammation out and get things to heal up properly. We have several options between chiropractic care, manual therapy, but one of the biggest options is actually laser therapy. Here at 1-Spine Chiropractic, we have two different types of lasers, we have cold laser and a hot laser that helps get some inflammation out. So we’re gonna demonstrate a couple of options today on what we’re going to do to get some plantar fasciitis relief to get you moving and feeling well again. So let’s get these safety glasses on here and what we’re going to do is get this laser started towards a hot laser. We do want to wear protective eyewear, because it is a pretty powerful laser. Typically, the sessions run between four to six minutes long, and what we want to do is get to the area where things are pretty inflamed, and get that healing process started. So let’s get this program going.
Hot & Cold Laser
Our patients typically will see pain in the bottom of the heel that runs out this way. So we’ll start with the problem area and work our way up with this hot laser. You’re gonna feel a little warm feeling because it’s goes in pretty deep to the help with a lot of the chronic issues. So we’re gonna get that area here get a little warm, and kind of scroll up and down with the arches getting some relief. So we’re gonna get right into that area where lot of times you might have a heel spur. So a lot of times we work on that outside part to get a lot of the inflammation to go away and to get things to feel better quicker. Like we talked about these lasers work on a cellular level and help that healing process speed up quite a bit more. So this is our hot laser therapy request for laser. One thing about with plantar fasciitis, it’s inflammation. So there are times when things are so inflamed and we can’t touch those areas to do some of the manual work we do in chiropractic. We need to do something like cold laser therapy where the patient doesn’t feel a thing. In other notes noticing is a change underneath the foot. So we get that area where it’s really tender for about four to six minutes. It’s really comfortable process and more importantly, it gets the job done.
