Cervical Decompression for Herniated Disc Relief | Chiropractor for Disc Injury in Lubbock, TX

How’s it going, it’s Dr. Greg Marin here at 1-Spine Chiropractic, and our topic is spinal disc and disc issues being treated with cervical decompression.

Taking Pressure of The Nerves & Disc

Not only have we discussed the lower back, but what we typically see at the office is this issues in the neck. A lot of times when someone has an issue in the neck they get a severe sharp pain, maybe radiating pain down the arm, numbness and tingling. What we want to do is get some treatment as quickly as possible. One of our best treatment options besides Chiropractic care and spinal adjustments, is spinal decompression. So what spinal decompression does is it allows you to connect with this machine which induces a mechanical traction that takes pressure off a disc. So that machine is pulling and what’s happening is that disc that’s protruding out and putting pressure on nerve is able to get that relief we need because there’s no more pressure on the disc and the nerve. What we’re noticing over several sessions, is that pain is going away. All the pain is getting corrected without the use of opioids, surgeries or any invasive treatment options like that.

So this is a great option for a spinal cervical disc issues. Simple and easy treatment with no pain at all and very comfortable. At times our patients are falling asleep and snoring during treatment, so that tells you how comfortable it is!
